The Prospective Marriage (Subclass 300) visa for Australia is sometimes referred to more broadly as a fiancé visa.
The visa allows you to:
- travel to, enter and remain in Australia for 9 months
- work in Australia
- access public healthcare in Australia
- include in your application dependent children
- apply for a Partner visa once you have entered in a legal marriage with the sponsor
To be eligible for this visa you to demonstrate that:
- you are engaged to be married to the Australian citizen, Permanent Resident or Eligible New Zealand citizen (sponsor)
- you and the sponsor are both over 18 years old at the time of application
- you and the sponsor have met in person since both parties have turned 18 years old
- you and the spo
